78. BÔLUS OF MENDÊ

Bôlus of Mendê in the Nile Delta, lived in the third century B.C.

He wrote works on Potent Natural Products, and on Antipathetic and Sympathetic Substances, which were often ascribed to Democritus; these were books of magic remedies. He also wrote other works of magical doctrine, on alchemy and divination.
