Rends aux Dieux immortels le cult consacré; |
PURIFICATION |
Sois bon fils, frère juste, epoux tendre et bon père. |
Εἶτα διχαιοσύνην ἀσκε̃ιν ἔργῳ τε, λόγῳ τε. |
Speak not nor act before thou hast reflected. |
Πολλὸι δ᾽ἀνθρώποισι λόγοι δειλοὶ τε, καὶ ἐσθλοὶ |
Even as Truth, does Error have its lovers: |
